Characteristics: Used primarily as a hunting dog whose quarry is rabbits. They are quite, loyal and enjoy human companionship.

Appearance: An aristocratic bird dog, who has a rich, lustrous red coat and an expressive face.
Characteristics: A friendly and amusing dog who enjoys children and make a good pet, gundog or watchdog. Enjoys human companionship and may be boisterous at times.
Strength: Has boundless energy and full of high spirits. A little lighter and speedier than the other setters.

Appearance: A sturdy, strong in substance and bone structure, free from clumsiness dog.
Characteristics: A speedy, powerful, endurant dog. He makes an excellent companion whether a playmate, hiker, watchdog or just a footwarmer. Loyal to every member of the family.
Strength: He is a top-notch terrier but is known for his fighting spirit.

Appearance: A smart, upstanding strongly built sporting dog. Has a wonderful temperament and unique appearance making him an enjoyable breed.
Characteristics: A great intelligence, quick learner, fun-loving personality. Loves water and will often take a flying leap into any body of water he encounters.
Strength: The tallest of the spaniels, he excels in retrieving wildfowl.

IRISH WOLFHOUND |
Appearance: One of the largest and tallest of dogs in the world. By the age of six months he can weigh as much as ninety pounds and he does not reach maturity until twenty to twenty-four months.
Characteristics: A perfect gentleman who shows no signs of aggression. Willing to please his owners, he makes a good family dog for those who have adequate space and a lifestyle to feed him as he is rather expensive to look after.

ITALIAN GREYHOUND |
Appearance: The smallest of the sighthounds. He is very similar to the Greyhound, but he is much smaller and more slender in all proportions.
Characteristics:Adapts well to indoor living. Gets along will with other pets and is a clean, odorless dog. He must be handled very gently and should not be placed in a noisy household.

Weakness: Prone to chills he should be kept in a draft-free environment and given a warm bed to snuggle in. |
